The 6th International Conference on Droplets will be held on 1-3 July in Liège, Belgium
Scope of the 2025 Droplets Conference
The objective of the Droplets conferences is to focus on all aspects of droplets of all nature, from pure to complex fluids: biological fluids, nanofluids, polymers and colloidal suspensions…. The conferences are dedicated to experiments, modeling and theoretical approaches to cover all aspects from the fundamentals to the applications beyond the coffee ring effect.
The conferences format consists in plenary sessions of keynotes lectures, as well as breakout oral presentations, poster presentations and brainstorming meetings. The program is shaped to enable group discussions and exchanges.
The 6th edition of Droplets
This edition of the international Droplets conference will take place in the beautiful city of Liège, Belgium. The University of Liège (Sart Tilman campus) will be the main location for the 2025 conference. It is located outside the city center, in a verdant area that will be at its best in July!
We advise our participants to stay in one of the hotels located either near the Guillemins station or in the city center. From both areas, the campus is easily reachable by bus.

Call for abstracts
The call for abstracts is now open.
The conference will focus on the following themes:
- Coalescence and break-up, sprays, fragmentation, atomization
- Phase changes (evaporation, freezing, melting, condensation, Leidenfrost droplets)
- Wetting and spreading, coating, electrowetting, superhydrophobicity
- Droplet manipulation on a substrate (open microfluidics, drops on fibres, elastocapillarity, bouncing droplets)
- Confined droplets and liquid plugs (incl. droplet microfluidics, EWOD, centrifugal microfluidics)
- Drying of dispersions, colloids, aerosols
- Emulsification (double-emulsion, encapsulation, surfactants, …)
