Here you will find some details about the venue hosting the Droplets 2025 Conference.
This edition of the Droplets Conference will take place in Liège, Belgium, on the University of Liège campus Sart Tilman.
ULiège’s Sart Tilman campus is located outside the city center, in a verdant area that will be at its best in July! Consequently, one can either reach the campus by car or public transportation. You can buy a bus ticket on the TEC app (Google Play Store / Apple Store) or at one of the many ticket vending machines.
From the city center or the Liège-Guillemins train station, you can easily reach it by taking the bus and stopping at SART TILMAN Amphithéâtres.
- From Liège-Guillemins station, take bus n.2 towards Sart Tilman / CHU / Botanique
- From the city center, go to the bus stop LIEGE Place de la République Française and take bus n.3

How to get to Liège
Liège-Guillemins railway station is one of Europe’s most impressive and beautiful stations, and is the work of famous architect Santiago Calatrava.
Since its opening in September 2009, Thalys, ICE and InterCity trains directly link Liège and its neighbouring countries : Germany (Aachen, Cologne, Frankfurt), France (Paris) and the Netherlands (Maastricht). Moreover, with the rise of night trains, Liège has also become directly connected to major cities like Berlin and Vienna via ÖBB Nightjet.

Furthermore, tickets for internal train connections can be booked in the train stations, online or through the app.
Brussels aiport (BRU)
The easiest is to take a train from the Brussels airport train station to Liège-Guillemins. Find more information on connections from and to Brussels Airport on the Belgian National Railway website.
For internal train connections, you may book tickets in the train stations, online or through the app.
Brussels South Charleroi airport (CRL)
If you arrive throught this airport, we recommend you take a bus from the airport to the main Charleroi-South station. From there, you can then catch a train to arrive at Liège-Guillemins station and get to your hotel. The whole journey will take you about 2 hours.

Similarly, you may book tickets for internal train connections in the train stations, online or through the app.
Frankfurt airport (FRA)
Finally, you can take a direct fast train from Frankfurt airport train station (Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof) to Liege-Guillemins train station, the journey takes 2 hours.
You have to book these international tickets in advance on the SNCB International website or app.
A well-developed network of motorways makes access to Liège by car fairly easy.
On motorway E25 :
- exit 35 “Avroy – Laveu” (for the city centre)
- exit 40 “Embourg/Angleur” (for the ULiège campus)
